Every child is unique, and therapy should be too.

At our clinic, we believe there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach to occupational therapy. We take the time to understand each child’s individual strengths, interests, needs and goals, creating therapy that is meaningful, engaging and tailored specifically to them.

We value connection before compliance, curiosity before judgement, and meaningful participation over simply achieving a task.

We use a strengths-based, neuroaffirming approach that celebrates neurodiversity and respects each child’s unique way of experiencing the world. Rather than focusing on “fixing” a child, we work alongside children and their families to build confidence, develop skills, reduce barriers and support participation in the activities that matter most to them.

Assessments

We assess a child’s function in a range of areas such as Sensory, Behaviour, Activities of Daily Living, Play, Fine Motor, Gross Motor and Social Skills. This helps with understanding the child’s strengths and areas of difficulty as well as support funding applications if relevant. We also complete Functional Capacity Assessments (FCA).

Parent/Educator Education

Parent and/or educator education sessions help empower and enable key people in the child’s life to understand the child more and be across the child’s therapy goals. This supports transfer of skills across many environments as well as ensuring everyone is working to a common goal.
